Order your 2026 Almanac!
| Dear Readers, At The Old Farmer's Almanac headquarters in Dublin, NH, August is the time of year when we take a collective deep breath. It's the month our annual edition goes on sale, and we are cheered by the knowledge that copies of the 2026 Almanac are making their way across North America. It's no small feat to get several million of them (published in eight different formats) into big box stores and mom-and-pop shops everywhere from San Diego, CA, to Newfoundland, Canada. The logistics of dispersal are why we go on press in June, to give our printers enough time to finish and bind all those copies and for distributors to get them into stores. We are proud to have staved off a price increase this year, despite rising costs for everything from ink and paper to postage and shipping. | | | | Many of our customers are glad to see the Almanac provide the same trusted content in each issue, outfitted for the year ahead, such as weather forecasts for every region, dates for planting by the Moon, gestation and mating tables, and where to see the visible planets throughout the year. We also pack every issue with new, useful, and entertaining matter, just as our founder, Robert B. Thomas, set out to do every year. | | | | This year's edition is packed with stories we think you'll love—on baseball legends, fishing knots, America's 250th anniversary (including how and why to garden like it's 1776!), a weather quiz, secrets of the sugar bush, gardens galore, a crash course on space trash, profiles of farmers who produce our food, and the healing power of honey—to name a few. By the time loyal readers have their 2026 edition in hand, we'll be hard at work on 2027. Like a farmer planning future crops, at the Almanac, we work at least a year ahead to bring you accurate and trustworthy content that you can depend on. | | | | | As always, it is our honor and privilege to deliver our best efforts to readers every August, a tradition we plan to continue for another 234 years! | | | | | Carol Connare Editor, The Old Farmer's Almanac | | | | | Enjoy more Almanac wit & wisdom! | | | | | | | You received this email because you signed up for updates from The Old Farmer's Almanac.
