Question of the Day
My grandfather used to say that when the cows are lying down in the field, the better the chance of rain. Is this true? – Answer

On three legs I stand,
And when taken in hand,
My nose often points to the light.
Inside I'm as black as any coal sack,
But my outside is polished and bright. (1897)

Sing a song of seasons,
Something bright in all,
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall.

Where did people used to hang their Almanac?

Have you ever wondered about the hole in the top left-hand corner of The Old Farmer’s Almanac? The holes first appeared in the late 1700s, when we made our earliest Almanacs.
